How to a safely transport my cake after picking it up?
When transporting your cake, keep the cake level and cool. I recommend setting the cake on the passenger side floor board with the air conditioning on so the cake doesn’t get warm. Drive carefully!
How do I safely carry my cake?
Always lift the cake and/or cake box by placing at least one hand underneath the bottom. Do not lift the cake and/or cake box by grabbing just the sides.
Where should I store my cake when I get to my destination?
Carefully bring your cake inside and place it directly in the fridge. Make sure you have space in your fridge or freezer to store the cake. The dimensions of my cake boxes are:
6” cakes: 10”x10”x9”
8” cakes: 12”x12”x9”
10” cakes: 14”x14”x9”

Why you should keep your cake refrigerated:
Remember, your cake is made out of butter, which becomes soft at room temperature, or can melt at higher temperatures. Therefore, keep your cake refrigerated when you are not serving it. Make sure to have space ready in your fridge for the cake - The dimensions of the cake boxes are:
6” cakes: 10”x10”x9”
8” cakes: 12”x12”x9”
10” cakes: 14”x14”x9”
Custom size/tiered cake: Varies, please ask.
How should I serve my cake?
I recommend eating your cake at room temperature for the best flavor and texture, so remove the cake from the fridge a couple hours before serving it.
Can I serve my cake outside on a hot day?
If you’re serving your cake in a hot environment, proceed at your own risk. Remember, cakes are make out of buttercream. Butter can become soft, and even melt at high temperatures.
If you’re going to serve your cake outside, assess the weather. If the whether is around 75 or below - go for it! But I still recommend keeping your cake out of direct sunlight. If the weather is between 75-95 degrees, be careful. You can try keeping it out of the sunlight and keep your eye on it, but I’d recommend keeping your cake inside as long as possible until it’s time to serve the cake.

Removing your cake from the box:
Use caution when removing your cake from the box. It’s best to do this when the cake is straight out of the fridge so the buttercream is stiff and will not be damaged as easily if the box accidentally scrapes the cake.
You can remove the box 2 ways:
1. Untie the ribbon to release the plastic box from the base. Next, remove the plastic box by lifting it up over the cake. Do this slowly to make sure you don’t scrape any of the sides of the cake.
OR
2. Untie the ribbon to release the plastic box from the base. There are two components to the plastic box - the lid and the edges of the box. Remove just the lid. Next, Look for the vertical seam on the edge of the box. Break open that seam to unfold the edges away from the cake. Do this carefully so none of the edges scrape or hit the cake. If you use this method, you will have to tape the box back together to repackage it - Bring tape with you!
